The Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville, in partnership with the Nashville Soccer Club (NSC), is thrilled to announce a Call for Art for the 2025 Soundwaves Gallery at GEODIS Park. The Soundwaves Gallery, located in the VIP Suites Corridor, showcases an annual themed exhibition of Nashville’s finest visual art all season long. The gallery elevates the Suite experience for guests while also providing a high-visibility exhibition and sales opportunity for local artists. The Soundwaves Gallery is also featured on weekly Stadium tours for the public. Pieces are displayed in the Gallery for the entirety of the season with the option for any Stadium guest to purchase the artwork with pick-up/local delivery after the conclusion of the season.

Interested artists must be local to Nashville or reside in the Greater Nashville region.

The exhibition theme for the 2025 season is “THE HE(ART) OF NASHVILLE” with the gallery displaying artwork celebrating the people, stories, and community spirit at the core of Nashville's identity as a uniquely creative city. Artists may submit up to five works to be considered. Most 2-D mediums are acceptable, including but not limited to painting, photography, textiles/fiber, mixed media, wood, block and screen printing, etc. Works must be intended to hang on a wall and may be pre-existing or newly created for this exhibition. Works should not use any of NSC's or its affiliate’s trademarks, logos, service marks, symbols, trade names or other intellectual property for any purpose whatsoever without the Team’s prior written consent.

Submissions must include an artist statement, image(s) of each work, and a descriptive narrative for each work submitted explaining its relationship to the theme. Each work must be no larger than 6 feet in any dimension and may have a retail value of no more than $2,500. Accepted artwork must be delivered “ready to hang” meaning that artwork must arrive with suitable hanging equipment attached (hanging wire or D-rings preferred). Artwork delivered without suitable hanging equipment may be excluded from the gallery. Framed works should be in simple black, white, or wooden frames. Unframed works are acceptable so long as the art is ready to hang and appropriate for display without a frame. Please provide the dimensions of each work, including both the framed and unframed dimensions, e.g. a 16x20” photograph in a frame measuring 18.5x20.5x1”.

A Curatorial Committee of curatorial experts along with NSC stakeholders will select the final works for display. The number of works chosen will be informed by the applications submitted and the space available in the Soundwaves Gallery.

Proceeds from artwork sales are split among the artist (10% upfront as a “rental fee” + an additional 60% if sold) and Nashville Soccer Club (30% commission, if sold) Works that do not sell are returned to the artist after the conclusion of the season. NSC pays selected artists 10% of the retail price up front as a “rental fee” for displaying their work for the entirety of the season. Rental fees are paid to artists within approximately eight weeks of Gallery installation. If an artwork is sold, the artist receives the remaining 60% within approximately 8 weeks of full payment by the purchaser.

Questions about the Call for Art should be sent to info@abcnashville.org.
